Over the past few months, we’ve had the chance to spend time with students from Pittwater High School, who have been getting involved in community outreach and volunteering.
Some students have helped with packing food, others with sorting donations, and some have simply come along to see how community support works in practice. It’s been a good reminder that kindness and responsibility don’t have an age limit.
These moments aren’t about big programmes or formal pathways. They’re about showing young people that helping out can be practical, local, and part of everyday life.
We’ve shared a few of these visits on Instagram, mostly because they capture something important — people learning by doing, and communities supporting each other across generations.
It’s encouraging to see young people step up, ask questions, and take part in work that quietly helps others.
