One part of our regular work is weekly food rescue from Woolworths Warriewood.
Volunteers collect surplus food that’s still good to eat and make sure it’s redistributed rather than wasted. It’s become part of the weekly routine.
Food rescue takes consistency. Pick-ups need to happen on time, food needs to be handled properly, and distribution needs to be organised quickly.
We often post about these runs on Instagram, not because they’re a big event, but because they show the everyday side of what we do. It’s quiet work, but it adds up.
Week by week, it helps fill gaps for people who need a bit of extra support.
